OLE!

Volví a Madrid. Pues me escogieron.

We started our new adventure with OLE!. We had to promote it. I went to the Advertising Film Festival in San Sebastian with thousands of cards from OLE! That year "Contrapunto" won the Festival with their queue spot for the "Cuponazo" but everyone said that I had won the Festival with my cards of OLE!. I passed the cards to each and every participant of the Festival. I even gave them to the cleaning ladies of the "Victoria Eugenia Theatre" where it took place. I came back to Madrid. We had casting directors who came to our agency to pick people for different spots, for example, a father 45 years-old, a mother 35, a daughter 17, a brother 12 and a six-month baby. We provided them with these characters. An english casting director who came very often to our agency, asked me to go to a casting for a mini-series "Onassis" that was going to be filmed in Madrid. In English. They chose me as a guest at the wedding between Onassis (Raúl Juliá) and Tina Livanos (whose actress' name I can't remember) where I played the part of a Greek friend of Onassis' mother and the only thing I had to say (speaking about the wedding presents) was: "And, to the groom?" (they dubbed me in the Spanish version...). It was an interesting experience. I had to wake up at five o'clock in the morning. Go to the old Madrid Casino (it was freezing to death...) for make-up and wardrobe. Afterwards, all my scenes, eating canapés at the reception and then my famous line, only my profile was shown, therefore, you could only see my nose which is the most protruding part of my face... (I will continue with other stories)
